I agree. For a free blogging platform I would still prefer to have my blog on wordpress.com, even domain.mapped blogs. One thing that has kept me from taking my domain-mapped typepad.com blog all the way to wordpress.org is to much software and plug-ins and programming and upgrades and what not I have to deal with. TypePad is near hassle-free, which is why I staying there, although I like wordpress.com slightly better, overall.
