I have not heard of this company. A quick search in Google turns up nothing. This leads me to question the authenticity of the company. Call your bank and discuss the matter with them. At the least have the card cancelled and maybe even have the account number changed. Sure, this plays havoc with any other authorized debits,. But better safe than sorry.

I also got a phone call telling me that I had signed up for magizines, which I don't recall. I have not signed up for any magazines. She also called my cell phone, which only a few people know. What can I do to get this 39.95 for 30 months from coming out of my checking account. She was rude & she had my debit card # !!! I don't want these magizines & she told me I could pay it off for over $1000.00. She said she was calling from Corcoastal Reader Service. I've never heard of this place !!! What should I do ?

Dan, I recently received a call from Readers Services. The lady was very rude and when I called her on it she got very irate and rude with me. I told her I did not remember ordering any magazines and I have not been receiving any magazines. She told me I could not stop this that the "10 day tral period was already past" but she would decrease my payments from 69.90 fro 30 months down to 59.90 for 20 months and would take me off "automatic renewal". I unfortunately did verify mailing address and debit card info with her. However, they had the wrong expiration date. They tried to debit the money from my account Sunday night but it was declined because of the wrong expiration date. The more I thought about it the more I got suspicious so I called my bank the next morning, told them I felt that my card had been compromised. I inactivated my card and plan on getting identity theft protection now. I got the number from call history on my cell phone they called me on and the number from the bank that they said the debit tried to go through from and I blocked those numbers with my cell phone company. They just now called me again, and against better judgment I answered the call. I will go on line to my cell phone co and also block that number as well. The only problem is that I can only block 5 numbers at a time for 90 days at a time. I am seriously considering going and talking to my cell phone company and getting a new phone number. If I can not do that then I will only answer calls from now on from numbers and people that I know. If it is a legitimate business that I do business with they will leave me a message and I will contact them. Those are my ideas and steps that I am taking to stop this. If anyone else has anything to say please let me know. I don't think I can be held liable for anything that I truly did not order. There is no signed document anywhere.

Dan,
Deb Klar suggested I contact you. I'm helping a friend start a social network site which is built around broadcast quality videos of average people who are finding ways to make their lives more "green" It also profiles people who have taken jobs in green industries. In both cases the videos are designed to motivate people to take actions of their own.

My question to you is it possible to attract viewers (?) with shared social views (people rather than institutions helping other people) rather than shared informational needs?

I appreciate that this is a business for you, so if you'd prefer to send send us a proposal on this question, I'd be happy to entertain it.
